The Purpose X Profit Conference, held at the Neuehouse in Hollywood, brings together mission-motivated companies and thought leaders to discuss how to activate brand purpose.

On December 11th, 2018, Conscious Capitalism Los Angeles will facilitate conversations with executives and founders from businesses like Lyft, Discovery, Inc., Equinox, We First and more. Participants will learn from the experts how leading brands do good while doing well.

Of note, We First CEO Simon Mainwaring and Lyft’s Director of Strategic Business Development, Jordan Glassberg, will lead two sessions: one on defining and refining Higher Purpose and another on how to Accelerate Your Business Through Purpose.

In these back-to-back sessions starting at 10:10 am, Mainwaring and Glassberg will discuss how to leverage your business to create a positive impact in the world and, in turn, inspire stakeholders to support your brand and mission. You’ll learn actionable takeaways on how to use your brand to form a movement. The sessions will also present strategies on how brands can intertwine their purpose-driven ethos across the value chain — from product sourcing to corporate culture to marketing and beyond.

There are also numerous other interactive experiences and sessions designed to help companies mobilize purpose to scale impact and profits. Of note, be sure to swing by the Tech Impact Lab hosted by Pledgeling. The lab will be open all day, displaying cutting edge technology assisting companies to fulfill their purpose-driven initiatives. Another key session is the Stakeholder Orientation activator lead by Lyndsy Dahl of BeautyCounter and Yana Simone of New Earth. This 12:15 pm discussion will focus on creating win-win-win scenarios that engage stakeholders — both internal and external — to work toward collective goals. Also be sure to check out Impact Trailblazers Leading Their Industries Through Purpose, starting at 1:40 pm. In this panel discussion, you’ll hear from the thought leaders behind Pledgeling, Evite, Discovery, Inc, Fullscreen Media, We Are HAH and This Bar Saves Lives about the secret sauce behind how they are disrupting their industries.

If you’re looking for ways to finance your purposeful ventures, then tune into the Funding the Future of Impact breakout at 3:15 pm in the screening room. This session features seasoned investors who’ll share secrets on what to do and what not to do when pitching to raise money.

Corporate culture is crucial to cultivating and executing on purpose. The 4:35 pm session titled How To Love Work in The 21st Century will hone in on how to attract and retain top talent via meaningful work and a higher purpose. Afdhel Aziz, founder of Conspiracy of Love, will discuss how human storytelling that showcases social and environmental impact is key to fostering engagement and productivity in the workplace. What’s more, the Conscious Marketplace will be open all day and feature samples and products from brands like Branch Out Market, Califia Farms, Cloud Knits, GT’s Kombucha, Kind Bars, ReWeave LA, Starling Jewelry, ZOLA Coconut Water and more.

Essentially, the Purpose X Profit Conference is a hotbed of purpose-led business innovators and a must for business leaders dedicated to building the bottom line and a better world. Plus, it’s a great place to meet and mingle with like-minded entrepreneurs and leaders using their resources to drive meaningful social impact while building profitable businesses. We’ll see you there!
